Suggested Gear List
  • Hunting License, ID and hunter safety card is required if born on or after January 1, 1949.
  • Rifle of at least .24 caliber capable of shooting 300+ yards accurately
  • At least one box of ammunition
  • Good hunting knife
  • Good binoculars
  • Camera    
  • Flashlight
  • Extra batteries
  • Cabin has Coleman propane lanterns (Electric with generator running) so you may want to bring a few propane bottles
  • Orange tape - great way to mark location of your animal
  • Coolers for hauling your meat back home
  • Range finder is good but not required
  • GPS is nice, but not required
  • Backpack or large fanny pack made of quiet material for snacks and water
  • CLOTHING - Base layer usually consists of form-fitting, moisture wicking garments made from newer synthetic blends or wool. Insulating layers would be fleece, wool and down. Make sure fabric is quiet.
  • Raingear - waterproof and breathable, while also being quiet.
  • Gloves whatever thickness you choose
  • Warm hat (florescent orange)
  • Vest (florescent orange, good for warmer weather)
  • Waterproof boots
  • Socks - Wool or synthetic depending on your preference
  • Tire chains and 4 x 4 vehicle. The road gets extremely muddy at times (Or we will transport you to & from cabin)  
  • Cabin has stove, refrigerator and grill. Also pots, pans, utensils and dishes
  • Cabin has beds, but you will need to bring sleeping bags, blankets and pillows, wash clothes & towels
  • FOOD - Bring and cook your own food (unless we have agreed to furnish food and cooking)
